How Old is Too Old for Over-the-Knee Boots?
I have a dilemma . I am 29 years old and still have the urge to go out and buy all these clothes that I wonder if i am too old to wear.
I fear I maybe one of those older ladies in there sixties wearing way too shorter skirts and drying my hair a light shade of purple or blue.
Much to my boyfriend's dismay, I am on the look out for a pair of over-the-knee boots. Now when I mentioned this his face changed to a pale white colour and a pained look glazed over his eyes. (This is a look I often get). He reminded me about when we first met, I wore a pair of DEEP RED, FUR, SPICE GIRL knee high boots! He said maybe I shouldn't be wearing those types of things anymore.
But I reminded him that the fact he still remembers the exact shoes I wore 10 years ago must of made an impact. What he forgets is that those shoes also got him up across the nightclub dance floor to ask for my name and had him dancing with me to Robbie Williams song "ROCK DJ" till the wee hours of the morning! Now those boots (I believe) is one of the reasons why he is here today.
Anyway, I assured him the over-the-knee boots wouldn't be red. Probably black.
I guess my question is what is the age you can still wear boots? I used to think pirates are the only ones who should ever wear over the knee boots. Oh, and Julia Roberts in pretty woman. Then I thought it's how you wear them. If the rest of your outfit says, I am trying to look 20 then you would look ridiculous. But if you pair them with something more age appropriate I think it could be OK!
I think bottom line.... Wear whatever you want and wear and wear it with confidence!
